6/23/00 News:
Next week (6/26-6/28), Ecolonization will be at NECC in Atlanta, GA! Creator Kris Kleckner will be presenting the teachers' website and the game at a special session on Tuesday morning. Hope to see everyone there!

6/1/00 News:
Ecolonization has now successfully completed beta testing! A big thanks to all of the participants! Specific information regarding the testing will be available when we move to a new server, but for now I'll give you a quick report:

• Students were found to enjoy using the program to learn
• Students learned about food chains and food webs as expected, but also learned about other topics such as resource management and interdependence.
• Teachers were very enthusiastic towards using the program and asked to use the program in future classes.
• Teachers also reported that students wanted to keep using the program.
• The only problem that was found was the need for the Flash plugin.
